I lay in wake and wait
but you never come

So He showed in place of you, to instill in me wisdom
that this is how the story is written

And with every breath
acknowledge it is not yet done

When life is often a blur
and most things aren't as they seem

Admit through the faults and failures
you know what the gift of a heartbeat means
